Tesla Free Supercharging Offer: I’m sure you’ve heard that Tesla will let you charge your car for free during off-peak hours in July. Here is where you can find the offer online. The company wants to use the event to show how much it has learned about how its customers use its cars.
It plans to get information about how people charge their cars and how they get around town and on vacation from focus groups, sensor data, and other sources. The goal is to find out more about who uses which Supercharger locations and what kind of cars they drive.
Tesla’s fleet and charging infrastructure have grown rapidly in recent years, making it difficult to keep up. Its delivery is rising 50% per year, while its Supercharger is up 30%.
Tesla owners are anxious because they must wait at some crowded stations to use a Supercharger, especially on holidays and other busy travel days.
